St. Petersburg Restaurant Manchester
Named after the former capital of the Russian empire, St Petersburg Russian Restaurant is a good place to introduce novices to this rich and varied cuisine, which has evolved over the centuries. The striking red décor is an eye-catcher with a touch of art thrown in for good measure. The menu is more than just chicken Kiev's and stroganoffs; soups being an integral part of every Russian meal a bowl of the country styled derevenskiy with chicken, mushrooms and noodles is a must try. Blinis - Russia's answer to pancakes arrive with some interesting stuffing's like ham, salmon and cheese. For main courses it could be a goulash, the famed beef and vegetable stew; riba, tender cod fillet baked in a cream sauce, or Russian style ravioli filled with chicken meat.
